The complaint

Before or after repairs, you may find that Chrysler RH and RE series transmissions have a late 1-2 and 2-3 shifts along with high TV/line pressure. OE idle line pressure specification is 55-65 PSI in the drive range.

The cause

The culprit here is mismatched TV plunger, bushing and retainer bracket (See Figures 1, above and 2, below). Figure 3 illustrates the difference in the TV cam shaft length between a TV cable system and a TTVA system.
